Nature Foundations Eco-appreciation Therapy
First Cycle Learning Group (Fall-Winter 2022-2023)
Nature is inherent in our lives, our connection to the world is existential. In recent years, there has been a growing recognition and awareness of the therapeutic qualities that exist in nature and in connection with it. The program 'Nature Therapy in the Eco-Appreciation Approach' is based on personal and group experiential learning in nature and in combination with a theoretical basis. It is designed to give participants the opportunity to deepen their cultivation of a beneficial connection to the world in a real way as part of their life path. The activity takes place in nature within the framework of a learning group guided by nature therapy and the eco-appreciation approach, recognizing the qualities inherent in the group for learning, growth, and meaningful personal experience. During the activity, we will study in depth and experience the eco-appreciation perspective (EAP) model for beneficial transformations in human-nature relationships, which I developed and which grew out of the nature therapy approach.

In the program meetings:
-
We will delve into personal and group exploration of the beneficial connection to nature together with a nature study group.
-
We will delve deeper into the experience and meaning of an authentic experience in the Eco-appreaciation approach.
-
We will learn key concepts from the content worlds of Eco-psychology, nature therapy, ancient cultures, place ecology, ecosystems, nature-society-based resilience, and contemporary research.
-
In each session we will learn and practice something new in the weaving experience : entering into circle time, play and playfulness, creation-movement-sound, the wisdom of ceremony, developmental transitions, inspiration from nature, being-doing attention, body-mind attention, photo-echo, meeting points, synchronicity and transformation in the weaving.
-
In each meeting and throughout the activity, we will integrate the knowledge learned into the daily, personal, professional, organizational, and community spaces of each member of the group.
-
All sessions are delivered using the EcoHokra and Nature Therapy approach and will incorporate phototherapy activities.
